Sandoval Speaks at Summit for Bilingual Parents

Earlier this week, State Senator Martin Sandoval (D-11) spoke to program directors, members of Bilingual Advisory Councils, and parents of English Learners at the 11th Annual Statewide Summit for Bilingual Parents, in Oak Brook Illinois.

The Annual Statewide Summit provided a rich mix of information about issues of critical importance to parents from linguistically and culturally diverse backgrounds.

Bilingual Advisory Committees (BAC) are formed at every Chicago Public School that has a State Bilingual Program. The purpose of this group is to assist the administrators and the teachers in implementing the bilingual program at their school.
